The Challenge Cup has been reformatted, as it is every year. This time the league phase will include League One, League Two, ten Premiership B teams, plus Banks o’ Dee, Clachnacuddin, Formartine United, Fraserburgh, Berwick Rangers, Bonnyrigg Rose, Cowdenbeath, Gala Fairydean Rovers, Clydebank and Cumbernauld Colts, or four from the Highland League, four from the Lowland League East and two from the Lowland League West. Clach, new Clydebank and Gala have never been in the Challenge Cup before.
