If Airdrie beat Morton, and Ross County lose, Morton will finish ninth and go into a playoff against either Alloa or Queen of the South.

If Airdrie beat Morton, and Ross County win and make up a 4-goal deficit, Morton will finish tenth and be relegated.

The last time Morton went into the final weekend not knowing their fate was 2021. They finished ninth and had to beat Montrose and Airdrie in the playoffs to stay up.

Morton have met New Airdrieonians on the last day of the season only once before, on May 15th, 2004. Airdrie won 2 – 0.
